Knowing what to expect during your refinishing project helps you plan and makes the process smoother for your household.
Day 1 - Sanding: Our team arrives with commercial sanding equipment. We sand the floor in multiple grit passes, starting aggressive and finishing fine. Dustless equipment keeps your home clean. Sanding typically takes one full day per room.
Day 2 - Stain and first coat: We apply your chosen stain (you approved a sample during the estimate) and the first topcoat. The floor needs 24 hours to dry before the next coat.
Days 3-4 - Final coats: We apply two additional coats with light screening between each. The final coat requires 24-48 hours to cure before you can place furniture.
